DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — Residents of Daytona Beach were amazed when the nearby shores revealed a massive shipwreck, the second to be discovered in recent times. The discovery has sparked excitement among residents and tourists who are eager to learn more about the sunken vessels. The drone video showed the outline of an old ship’s hull, making it the second wreckage that has been unearthed off the central Florida coast since Hurricane Ian and Nicole tore across the beaches. According to the Volusia Beach Patrol, the shipwreck is about 25-30 feet long and appears to be very old.“It’s kind of cool to see these blasts from the past, unfortunately, due to the lost sand,” said Captain Aj Miller of the Volusia Beach Patrol. Miller believed that the seaweed washing up on the coast may help replenish the beach. “Every year we get that, it rebuilds the sand. So with that coming in, I’m really looking forward to getting our beaches renourished....Waterspout dissipates after making landfall on Hollywood Beach

Here’s the latest installment of our Miami Dolphins Q&A, where South Florida Sun Sentinel writers David Furones and Chris Perkins answer questions from readers.Q: David, [General manager Chris] Grier can’t be serious putting that level of faith in Austin Jackson to label him the starting RT from this far out without bringing in starting caliber competition for camp. How concerning is this considering that is Tua’s blindside? — Alfonso S., via emailA: It was a bit surprising for Grier to flat-out deem Jackson the starting right tackle this week.It seemed to be going that way with the Dolphins not bringing in a competitor in the first wave of free agency, but one would think the team would at least make the 2020 first-round pick earn the spot in 2023 after a disappointing first three NFL seasons and 2022 campaign where he ended up on injured reserve in each of his two starts.“Yes, the expectation is Austin is the starter at right tackle,” Grier ...Bruins notebook: Patrice Bergeron did not travel to Florida, “likely” to play in Game 5

When asked if Ullmark was still feeling the effects of the lower body injury he suffered in the second to last game of the season against Washington when he had to pull himself out of the game in the third period, Montgomery said “I don’t believe so, no.”If Ullmark can’t go, that would mean Jeremy Swayman will get his first start of the playoffs. Brandon Bussi is here as the third goalie. This is the playoffs, of course, in which you must take anything a club says about an unavailable player with a jaundiced eye.
